Negative Emotions & Acidity

Self-discipline, although difficult, and not always easy while combating negative emotions,
should be a defensive measure. At least we will be able to prevent the advent of negative
conduct dominated by negative emotion. That is 'shila', or moral ethics. Once we develop
this by familiarizing ourselves with it, along with mindfulness and conscientiousness, eventually
that pattern and way of life will become a part of our own life.”~Dalai Lama

Health is in our thinking. Everything we think begins as a seed thought and then it grows and propagates according to how we express those thoughts. Thoughts + Feelings = Emotions. An important thing to remember is that the quality of our health is negativity impacted by our unconscious resistance of some form of non-acceptance. This state of non-acceptance and hidden resistance to the ways things are, is the cause of suffering. If we learn to harness our minds from moment-to-moment, we can eliminate our judgments that occur at the level of thought and our negativity, at the level of emotion. There is an inverse relationship between the intensity of our dis-ease to the degree of our resistance. We see it in the blood as acid ph. So it is for each of us to decide how free we wish to be of pain and suffering --- free of the dominating ego-mind that runs our lives.

Negative Emotions and stress causes an acidic environment in the body, which is the underlying causation of most diseases. While some negative emotions produce more acid than others, certainly thoughts on the lower scale of consciousness (unrestrained animal-like impulses) produce the largest quantities of adrenalin and therefore acidity, which exhaust and age us. Naturally the more extreme the emotion the more acidic the blood becomes. Acid in the blood is called oxidation.

Anything extreme that is divisive, one-sided, or myopic oxidizes the blood whether it is justified by a religion, culture, group or philosophy. This ranges from being self-critical to being judgmental of others; stress; fear, anger, and hate; depression, blame, cynicism, negative thinking, and so on. Even things we see as positive when perceived in the extreme are out of balance and therefore, create a physiological effect within the body’s pH balance. A good example of an extreme would be someone who hates war, but loves Peace. As a peace advocate, certainly war is not the answer, but rather it is the emotional velocity to a particular situation that is totally rejecting of the other without seeking first to understand, which causes such a physiological response in the body. Nihilistic and dualistic thinking acts as a trigger to create an extreme or heightened emotional response.

Excess acidity in the blood shows up
as white spots on the cells or as
discoloration. Wherever acids settle
in the body, they make coagulation
difficult, and the location of these
puddles of blood indicate problems
in the organ system lymphatics related to those feeding routes in the blood system.

All such negative emotional arousals consume us with relentless suffering, exhausting, depressing, saddening, and weakening our immune system. Oxidation in the blood is the result of anger and resentment, arthritis, dark moods, reactivity and violent feelings--creating acid in body, thought, word and action. We can each ask ourselves how many times we have been so upset that we gave ourselves an upset stomach; got acid reflux because we could not properly metabolize or digest our emotions; had a bout of diarrhea due to stress or nervousness; or allowed our problems to fester eating away at our sanity. Any of these scenarios sound familiar?

Getting a solid grip on our emotions not just in external restraint, but on an internal level where we can bring more love and understanding to them to propagate higher quality thoughts promotes alkalinity. It is actually quiet interesting that Love and understanding cleanses and heals the body creating an internal alkaline environment. Perhaps love is the body’s natural state of being and its default system to remind us when we are not aligned in love.

Optimal health occurs in a slightly alkaline environment. Alkalinity is so important in blood that the body has powerful mechanisms to maintain pH between 7.25 and 7.65. Our glands and organs function properly in exact proportion to the alkaline and acid levels in our system. Prolonged time in the acid pH state, or acidosis, impacts our organs and can cause rheumatoid arthritis, diabetes, lupus, tuberculosis, osteoporosis, high blood pressure, and cancer. Cynicism and negativity are strongly associated with degenerative disease.

There are other triggers along with emotional stress that result in acidic pH-- immune reactions, acid-forming diets, toxic overload or other processes that deprives cells of oxygen and nutrients. These are discussed in You Are What You Eat.

Acid/Alkaline Balance

The Two Sides of Chemistry

A balanced diet is essential to maintain good health or not to aggaravate existing imbalances.

Our bodies are a sensitive apparatus. All dairy products pasturized or raw, refined carbohydrates which are complex sugars, irritants such as hot peppers, black pepper, soda, etc., toxic chemicals, foreign proteins such as meat, cause a lymphatic response of the mucosa producing excessive mucus production, which invites parasites. When the body is bombarded with mucos from the lymph system, cellular function is blocked by congestion producing "Hypo-activity' of tissues, glands and organs.

Hormone imbalances, high acid forming diets, medications, and heavy metal congestion through foods, air, soil, water and cosmetics are antigens to the body that produce inflammation. Inflammation leads to hypoactivity initiating a domino effect of many disease symptoms that plague humanity and animals.

Cell walls are composed of chained amino acids or proteins, cholesterol, which is inflammation protection, and phospholipids. When a cell becomes weakened, these proteins and antigens change sending a signal for the cells destruction. This is the bodies immune response to foreign antigens introduced into the body from the outer world.

Autoimmune Illusion

"Normal body cells that becomes damaged or weakened can appear as foreignantigens, inviting an immune response by macrophages, neutrophiles, monocytes, etc. This stimulates the production of antibodies by B-lymphocytes to neutralize or destroy the cellif needed. As noted, it also stimualtes cytotoxic responses by granulocytes, monocytes and lymphocytes. This is where the "autoimmune illusion" is first created. When a cell changes its morphology through acidosis, toxic chemical influence, etc. this changes its signal to immune cells (the police), which are now considered foreign antigens or cells that can affect other cells and thus need to be eliminated." ~ Dr. Robert Morse

A 100% raw diet is optimum, but may be challenging for most. A raw food diet consisting an 80% live, nutritionally dense, organic, uncooked and unprocessed fruit and veggies to 20% cooked veggies for grounding is effective for wellness. The electromagentic energy of cooked foods, however is dramatically lower than that of raw foods. Raw foods with life force optimize health by alkalizing your body so that its systems can eliminate the toxins via the lymph and kidneys that build up from cooked and processed foods. Eating a mostly cooked and high animal protein diet contributes to high levels of acidic toxins in the body that throws off its acid/alkaline balance. This is one of the most common causes of excess weight gain and dis-eased states. Cooking food also causes chemical changes that create acidic toxins, including carcinogens, mutagens and free radicals, reducing the body’s energy source and adding body fat. Consuming raw fruit and veggies are balanced in their imple sugars, amino acids and fatty acids.

WHAT CAN YOU DO?

1- DETOX: with grapes, berries, melons, lemons and other highly astringent fruit to remove lymph stagnation and to filter the kidneys.

2- EXERCISE:
Moderate exercise is alkalizing to the body. Excessive exercise (past the point of exhaustion) can create an acidic problem due to lactic acid buildup. People who are acidic usually feel worse from exercise because their detoxification organs are not working properly due to excessive acid in the tissues.

3- FOOD COMBINING: Food combining is key to creating an alkaline environment because when you combine properly you reduce putrefaction in the body creating a more alkaline condition. Eat melons alone. Never mix protein and starch.

4-. ALKALIZING DIETARY SUPPLEMENTATION: When you purchase supplements you must ask yourself what your goal is and will these supplements actually help alkalize and remove acid from your body. Fresh pressed Fruit juices and Chlorophyll (green) drinks are very helpful in filtering out toxins and acidity in the body.

5- DRINK LIVING WATER: Fruit is full of Living Water, which heals body, mind and Spirit. See Elixir of Life

Mystery in the Blood

Air, blood, life and thought are inseparable. Life Force manifests itself when it acts on the blood that runs through the living body, when, as air, gives breath to the body and so life and the ability to think. Air, blood, life and thought are inseparable.

The Soul is identified with the engine of the living body and is considered the principle of life. It spreads throughout the body, through breath and blood, from lungs and the heart. Clearly, the Soul corresponds to the air introduced into the body by the action of lungs (breath), which spreads around it through blood and the heart and finally manifests in the mental activity as the form of vital activity that it is.

The Soul is identified with life, with material elements of life like breath and air, and blood, and involves the functioning of body organs. But it is not confined to them; physically transcends the body, comes from outside and is immortal, as the air is.

Probiotics & Intestinal Health

Homemade Kimchee

Our digestive system is the medium through which food becomes consciousness. How we chew our food determines whether we assimilate what we consume. Chewing our liquids and drinking our solids engages our mouth saliva to begin the process of digestion. Remember, if our teeth do not chew our foods then our stomach must.

When it comes to staying healthy - and keeping a digestive system happy and working well, probiotics are an option used all over the world whether through using fermentation or supplementation. Science now recognizes that 80% of our immune system lives in our digestive tract. In fact, the Flu can express itself only in an acidic body. To "catch a cold" we need to have the cellular terrain in the digestive tract where it can grow. Maintaining pH balance of internal fluids guarantees the prevention of flu and other illnesses.

The Case for Healthy Bowels: The Vital Connection Between Your Gut and Your Health

Blueberries counteract intestinal diseases
Blueberries are rich in antioxidants and vitamins. But new research shows that blueberry fiber is also important and can alleviate and protect against intestinal inflammations, such as ulcerative colitis. The protective effect is even better if the blueberries are eaten together with probiotics. Blueberries are rich in polyphenols, which have an antimicrobial and antioxidative effect. The combination of blueberries and probiotics reduced inflammation-inducingbacteria in the intestine at the same time as the number of health-promoting lactobacilli increased.
